COLLECTIVE BARGAINING UNIT: This position is in a collective bargaining unit.
BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES: This position is located in the Office of the Chief Financial Officer (OCFO), Office of Tax and Revenue (OTR), Real Property Tax Administration (RPTA), Recorder of Deeds (ROD). The incumbent leads lower-level examiners in executing assignments; and performs support and related work in connection with the examination of legal instruments and supporting documentation to determine whether a requested action complies with certain provisions of various laws. Duties include, but are not limited to: at the direction of the Unit Supervisor or upper management, distributing and balancing the workload among employees in accordance with established workflow; examining all documents, such as but not limited to: Deeds, Trusts, Releases, Assignments, Agreements, Easements, Court Actions and Foreclosures to ensure they have appropriate information needed prior to being recorded and made public record; indexing and verifying documents to be recorded for the public record by extracting pertinent information to index into ROD's automated system; consulting with other ROD and/or RPTA units to reconcile and coordinate inconsistencies, and utilizing land records management systems and other RPTA databases to obtain information related to the examination of legal instruments. Performs other related duties as assigned.
