This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Legal Admin (Personal Injury Law) based in Australia.
This is an opportunity to provide essential legal administration support across Australian personal injury matters in a fully remote environment.
You’ll work closely with lawyers and a range of external stakeholders to keep claims organized, compliant, and progressing efficiently.
The role combines case administration, document preparation, client communication, scheduling, and legal support activities.
You’ll play an important part in maintaining accurate case files and ensuring critical deadlines and procedural requirements are met.
The environment is fast-paced and collaborative, offering exposure to Australian personal injury processes and legal operations.
Strong attention to detail, initiative, and the ability to manage competing priorities will be key to success.
This part-time position is well suited to an experienced legal administrator looking for flexibility while making a direct contribution to legal case outcomes.
Accountabilities:
- Provide day-to-day administrative support to lawyers managing Australian personal injury claims.
- Prepare, format, organize, and file legal documents, correspondence, briefs, court forms, and other case-related materials.
- Maintain accurate, complete, and up-to-date case files within the relevant case management system.
- Liaise professionally with clients, medical providers, insurers, counsel, and other stakeholders to obtain records, coordinate appointments, and facilitate follow-ups.
- Manage diaries, court dates, deadlines, reminders, and other key milestones to help ensure procedural timelines are met.
- Assist with preparing briefs and supporting documentation for counsel, mediations, and settlement conferences.
- Conduct basic legal research and gather relevant information or documentation as directed by lawyers.
- Monitor emails and other communications, ensuring enquiries and requests receive timely responses and appropriate follow-up.
- Support efficient legal operations by proactively identifying outstanding tasks, documentation gaps, and upcoming deadlines.
- Diploma, certification, or degree in Legal Studies, Paralegal Studies, or a related field is preferred.
- Minimum 2–3 years of experience in a legal administration or legal assistant position, ideally within personal injury law.
- Practical exposure to Australian personal injury processes, court procedures, and compensation schemes is highly desirable.
- Experience supporting personal injury claims and working with lawyers in a legal practice environment.
- Previous experience in an outsourced legal support or remote legal services environment is an advantage.
- Strong knowledge of legal document preparation and familiarity with case management or legal practice management systems.
- Excellent written and verbal English communication skills, with the ability to communicate professionally with clients and external stakeholders.
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail, particularly when managing sensitive documentation and procedural deadlines.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities independently while maintaining accuracy in a fast-paced remote environment.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and relevant legal practice management software.
