Job Description
BRAC, the world's largest NGO, is seeking a Legal Advisor to support its human rights, governance, and legal aid programs across Bangladesh. The role involves legal policy advisory, program compliance, and capacity building for BRAC's field operations.
Responsibilities
Advise BRAC programs on legal and human rights compliance. Draft and review agreements with government agencies and international donors. Ensure compliance with NGO Affairs Bureau regulations and Foreign Donations (Voluntary Activities) Regulation Act. Support land rights and property disputes affecting BRAC beneficiaries. Develop legal literacy training materials for field staff.
Requirements
LLB from a recognized university (LLM in Human Rights or International Law preferred). 5-7 years of relevant experience in human rights, NGO law, or development sector. Experience working with international donors and compliance frameworks. Strong understanding of Bangladesh NGO Affairs Bureau regulations.
