Position Overview
Job Description
This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Legal AI Implementation Strategist based in Australia.
As a Legal AI Implementation Strategist, you will help enterprise legal and compliance teams transform complex workflows through AI-powered solutions. You will lead implementation projects from initial onboarding through full rollout, combining legal or regulatory expertise with strategic problem-solving. Working directly with senior stakeholders, you will uncover operational bottlenecks and translate them into practical AI-enabled solutions. You will also help users build confidence in new technology by guiding adoption, resolving challenges, and demonstrating its value. Your customer insights will directly influence product and engineering priorities as the platform continues to evolve. This is a high-impact opportunity to apply your professional expertise in a fast-growing, engineering-led environment focused on meaningful transformation.
Accountabilities
- Lead enterprise AI implementation projects end-to-end, from customer onboarding and discovery through deployment, adoption, and full rollout.
- Work closely with legal, compliance, and related enterprise teams to understand their existing workflows, identify inefficiencies, and determine where AI can create the greatest operational impact.
- Deconstruct complex legal and regulatory processes and translate real-world documents, requirements, and workflows into structured logic that AI systems can effectively interpret and act upon.
- Guide senior legal, compliance, and business stakeholders through the adoption of AI-powered workflows, helping users understand the technology, build trust in its outputs, and use the platform effectively.
- Diagnose and resolve strategic, operational, and technical implementation challenges, identifying practical solutions and clear paths forward.
- Develop strong relationships with enterprise stakeholders and become a trusted strategic partner throughout implementation and ongoing adoption.
- Capture insights and recurring customer needs from live implementations and communicate them effectively to Product and Engineering teams.
- Contribute to product development by translating customer feedback and implementation learnings into actionable roadmap recommendations.
- Develop scalable implementation frameworks, documentation, and playbooks that can support expansion across customers and international markets.
- Help continuously improve implementation processes, ensuring successful outcomes while maintaining a high standard of customer experience.
- Professional experience practicing law, working within a legal or compliance function, or advising organisations on complex legal and regulatory matters in a consulting environment.
- Strong understanding of how enterprise legal, compliance, or regulatory teams operate, particularly when managing complex requirements, competing priorities, and time-sensitive decisions.
- Demonstrated ability to engage confidently with senior stakeholders and establish credibility with legal, compliance, and business leaders.
- Strategic and systems-oriented mindset, with the ability to identify underlying process problems rather than simply working around existing limitations.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, with the ability to break down complex workflows and translate them into practical, structured solutions.
- Comfortable operating in ambiguous, fast-changing environments where priorities evolve and new approaches need to be developed.
- Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Genuine curiosity about artificial intelligence and its practical applications within legal, compliance, and enterprise workflows.
- Willingness to experiment with emerging AI tools and explore how technology can improve professional processes.
- Highly proactive, adaptable, and comfortable taking ownership of projects from strategy through execution.
- Experience in enterprise technology implementation, strategy consulting, legal technology, compliance technology, or AI-enabled transformation is advantageous but not essential.
- Remote-first working model for candidates across Australia.
- Sydney-based hybrid flexibility for candidates located in Sydney.
- Opportunity to work on an enterprise-grade AI platform trusted by major global organisations.
- High-impact role at the intersection of legal expertise, compliance, artificial intelligence, and enterprise technology.
- Opportunity to apply your existing legal, compliance, or consulting expertise in a new and highly innovative environment.
- Equity participation and the opportunity to share in the organisation's growth and success.
- Fast-paced professional development, with significant opportunities to expand your skills and responsibilities.
- Engineering-led culture with ambitious goals, high ownership, and minimal bureaucracy.
- Opportunity to directly influence product development through customer insights and implementation experience.
- Flexible, remote-friendly environment designed to support autonomy and collaboration.
- Inclusive workplace that values diverse perspectives and encourages candidates to apply even if they do not meet every listed requirement.
