Job Description
This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Legal Assistant II based in the United States.
This is a fully remote opportunity supporting legal operations within the creditors’ rights and financial services space.
You will play an important role in managing foreclosure-related workflows and ensuring accurate, timely legal work product.
The position combines data entry, document management, system updates, court preparation, and professional communication.
You will work in a technology-driven, fast-paced environment where precision, organization, and responsiveness are essential.
The role offers the autonomy to manage assigned work while collaborating with internal teams and external stakeholders.
You will contribute directly to high-quality legal services by ensuring compliance with applicable requirements, procedures, and client expectations.
Accountabilities:
- Manage assigned activities related to the sales portion of the foreclosure process with accuracy and within established deadlines.
- Update internal firm systems and external client platforms promptly and accurately.
- Sort, scan, categorize, label, digitally file, and organize legal documentation in accordance with established procedures.
- Complete assigned work queue items within required service-level timeframes.
- Review incoming documents and distribute them to the appropriate internal or external parties.
- Assist with preparing materials and other required items for court appearances.
- Apply basic legal concepts and terminology to ensure accurate processing and quality work product.
- Communicate professionally and responsively through telephone, email, internal messaging, and external communication platforms.
- Maintain accurate records and follow established policies, procedures, job aids, and client requirements.
- Complete all required training within the designated learning management system.
- Manage multiple priorities while maintaining a high level of productivity, accuracy, and responsiveness.
- Contribute to a collaborative team environment and take on additional responsibilities as assigned.
- High school diploma or equivalent is required.
- 1–3 years of experience in data entry, legal administration, legal assistance, or a related role.
- Previous experience working in a fast-paced, technology-driven environment.
- Experience in the default servicing industry is preferred.
- Strong data-entry skills with exceptional attention to accuracy and detail.
- Ability to understand and consistently follow instructions, procedures, job aids, policies, and processing requirements.
- Strong time-management and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize competing tasks and meet deadlines.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while also collaborating effectively with colleagues and stakeholders.
- Strong customer service mindset and commitment to providing responsive, accurate, and timely support.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Word and Excel, and confidence working with computer-based systems.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with a professional and clear communication style.
- Ability to learn and retain basic legal concepts and terminology relevant to assigned responsibilities.
- Ability to remain focused and productive for extended periods while working on a computer.
- Ability to multitask and perform repetitive activities such as typing, clicking, and navigating digital systems.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States.
