Job Description

PDVSA (Petróleos de Venezuela, S.A.) is hiring a Legal Counsel, Hydrocarbons based in Maracaibo, Venezuela. Support the energy group's legal team on oil and gas matters in Zulia.

Responsibilities

  • Advise on the Ley Organica de Hidrocarburos
  • Negotiate operating and service contracts
  • Manage joint-venture and regulatory matters
  • Support contract administration with operators

Requirements

  • Licenciatura en Derecho from an accredited Venezuelan university.
  • Admission as an abogado (registered with a Colegio de Abogados and INPREABOGADO).
  • 5+ years energy/contracts
  • Technical-contracts and English skills
