Legal Counsel

Role       : Counsel
Location : ADIB HQ                        

Role Purpose:

To provide legal services for litigation matters.
    
Key Accountabilities of the role      

Reporting to Head of Corporate Legal Services, key responsibilities include the following: 

1. Assign Cases to external lawyers and follow up.
2. Responsible for creating & updating case records on the E-Case system as well as case files.
3. Liaising with governments authorities and provide information on cases as requested. 
4. Follow up with external lawyers on execution cases and liaise with government authorities. 
5. Coordinate all litigation requests with business units and provide relevant information.
6. Conduct and undertake legal research as requested from time to time.
7. Assisting on court expert witness meetings and liaising with business to provide with any information requested by the experts.
8. Follow up and update Business on court matters and instruct external lawyers to attend court hearings for and on behalf of the Bank and provide advice on civil litigation concerning the bank. 

• Law Degree
• Legal Analytical Skills 
• Fluency in Arabic & English
• Negotiation and Problem-Solving Skills.
• 3-5 years experience in similar role
