About the Role
We are looking for a Legal Engineer to join our Legal Engineers team. This role offers legally qualified professionals the opportunity to work at the intersection of law, technology and AI, helping law firms and in-house legal teams transform how legal work is delivered through AI-enabled workflows and practical legal technology.
As a Legal Engineer, you will act as the bridge between LexisNexis technology and the legal professionals who use it every day. Working alongside Customer Success and Account Management, you will lead workflow discovery sessions, design and implement AI-enabled solutions, and help customers realise measurable improvements in efficiency, quality and adoption. You'll work closely with Partners, General Counsel, Knowledge Management, Innovation, Legal Operations and Technology teams to solve real business challenges.
Responsibilities
- Lead workflow discovery sessions with customers to understand current legal processes, identify pain points and define opportunities for AI-enabled improvement.
- Design, configure and deploy AI-enabled workflows and skills that align with customer processes and business objectives.
- Deliver targeted onboarding, enablement and adoption sessions tailored to different user groups and practice areas.
- Work alongside Customer Success to embed new workflows into day-to-day legal practice and drive sustained adoption.
- Monitor customer usage and identify opportunities to improve adoption, engagement and value realisation.
- Demonstrate measurable customer outcomes, including improvements in efficiency, quality, consistency and risk reduction.
- Act as the voice of the customer by translating workflow requirements, product gaps and customer feedback into actionable insights for Product and Development teams.
- Share best practices and reusable workflow solutions across customers and internal teams.
Requirements
- Qualification as a Solicitor in England & Wales, ideally with 3+ years' PQE gained within a large law firm or major in-house legal team.
- Experience working with complex legal workflows across transactional and/or contentious practice areas.
- Strong consulting, facilitation and stakeholder management skills, with confidence engaging senior legal professionals.
- A genuine interest in legal technology, AI and workflow transformation, with curiosity about how technology can improve legal service delivery.
- Excellent relationship-building skills and the ability to influence, collaborate and drive change across multiple stakeholders.
Success in this Role
Successful Legal Engineers help customers redesign how legal work is delivered through AI-enabled workflows and legal technology. They build trusted relationships with senior stakeholders, drive measurable adoption and usage, deliver practical workflow solutions, and provide valuable customer insight that shapes future product development.
