Job Description

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Litigation Associate to join our growing team. The ideal candidate is an emerging employment litigator who thrives in a fast-paced environment, takes ownership of their caseload, and is eager to develop their litigation skills alongside experienced practitioners. This is a hybrid position offering flexibility while maintaining strong team collaboration.

 Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage an active docket of employment litigation matters from inception through resolution
  • Conduct and defend depositions, including witness preparation and examination
  • Appear in court, administrative hearings, and mediation proceedings
  • Draft and respond to pleadings, motions, discovery requests, and correspondence
  • Conduct legal research and prepare memoranda and case strategy summaries
  • Collaborate with attorneys, paralegals, and support staff to advance client matters
  • Communicate directly with clients to provide case updates and gather information
  • Monitor deadlines and ensure timely compliance with court and agency schedules

Qualifications

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school
  • Active admission to the California State Bar in good standing
  • 1–2 years of experience in employment litigation (plaintiff, defense, or government)
  • Demonstrated experience with court appearances and/or depositions
  • Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Team-oriented mindset with a collaborative and professional approach
  • Proficiency with legal research platforms (Westlaw, Lexis) and case management software
