This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Litigation Support based in Canada.
This remote opportunity is ideal for a detail-oriented legal professional who enjoys supporting litigation teams through research, document management, and case coordination. You will work closely with legal practitioners to prepare materials, organize evidence, and ensure smooth case progression across different stages of litigation. The role requires strong analytical abilities, excellent written communication skills, and a solid understanding of legal processes. You will contribute to improving legal operations by managing critical documentation, preparing case summaries, and supporting trial readiness. This position offers the opportunity to collaborate with international legal teams while developing expertise in litigation support within a flexible remote environment.
Accountabilities:
- Drafting, reviewing, formatting, and organizing litigation documents, including pleadings, affidavits, witness statements, discovery lists, and legal correspondence.
- Conducting legal research on case law, procedural requirements, and statutory frameworks relevant to applicable jurisdictions.
- Supporting case preparation by compiling briefs, indexing documents, organizing exhibits, and maintaining accurate case files.
- Managing document discovery, disclosure processes, and evidence organization to ensure efficient case management.
- Preparing case chronologies, summaries, legal research notes, and internal memoranda for review by legal teams.
- Assisting with trial preparation, including creating court bundles and tracking important deadlines and milestones.
- Liaising with court registries, barristers, clients, and other stakeholders under the direction of supervising legal professionals.
- Maintaining confidential client records and ensuring accurate documentation within legal practice management systems.
- Supporting legal teams with administrative coordination throughout all stages of litigation.
- 2–3+ years of experience in litigation, dispute resolution, legal support, or a related legal operations role.
- Strong understanding of legal terminology, litigation procedures, and document management practices.
- Excellent written and verbal English communication skills, with the ability to prepare clear and accurate legal documents.
- Experience conducting legal research and analyzing legal information.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and legal practice management platforms such as LEAP, Actionstep, or Smokeball.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities, deadlines, and confidential information.
- High attention to detail and accuracy when handling complex legal documentation.
- Previous experience supporting Australian or common law jurisdictions is highly desirable.
- Ability to work independently and effectively in a remote environment while collaborating with legal teams.
