Job Description
The Coroner's Office is hiring a part-time, temporary Medicolegal Death Investigator.
In this position, you will conduct investigations of all deaths and related procedures that fall under the jurisdiction of the Office of the Coroner/Medical Examiner. They complete medicolegal death investigations, make death notifications to next of kin, present information to the forensic pathologist, maintain a proper chain of custody with all evidence, prepare detailed reports, and comply with all ongoing educational and physical training requirements.

Part-time investigators are scheduled from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. and may be scheduled any day of the week, Sunday through Saturday, including holidays. Shifts may involve being in the office during the day or on-call at night. Part-time investigators may be assigned to cover shifts for full-time investigators who work four 10-hour shifts (0600-1600, 1200-2200, 2100-0700 hours).
