Job Description

Accountabilities:

    The Operations Staff Attorney will support legal operations by reviewing immigration-related filings, conducting research, and ensuring accuracy and compliance across case documentation. Working closely with senior legal professionals, this role contributes to efficient case progression and high-quality client support.

    • Review immigration court-related filings, including motions, briefs, and other legal documents, following established guidance and review processes.
    • Analyze draft filings and identify required edits, corrections, and improvements before submission to ensure accuracy and completeness.
    • Communicate clearly with internal teams regarding document updates, filing changes, and case-related recommendations.
    • Manage a high volume of case reviews while meeting daily productivity and quality expectations.
    • Conduct legal research on immigration law topics, particularly those related to court proceedings and filing requirements.
    • Apply legal knowledge and attention to detail to support effective case preparation and client outcomes.
    • Follow detailed instructions and established workflows while maintaining strong organization across multiple cases.
    • Collaborate with attorneys and operational teams to improve efficiency and maintain consistent legal standards.
    • Support the continuous improvement of legal processes, documentation practices, and case management procedures.
    • Requirements:

      The ideal candidate is a motivated legal professional with strong research, writing, and organizational skills. This role is suited for someone interested in immigration law who can work independently, manage detailed legal tasks, and contribute positively within a collaborative environment.

      • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an ABA-approved law school.
      • Active membership in good standing with a state bar.
      • Strong ability to follow detailed instructions and apply legal guidance accurately.
      • Excellent legal research, analytical, and written communication skills.
      • Interest in immigration law and supporting individuals and families through legal processes.
      • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced operational environment.
      • Experience with case management software is preferred.
      • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, email platforms, and document management systems.
      • Strong attention to detail, organization, and commitment to delivering high-quality legal work.
      • Ability to collaborate effectively with attorneys and cross-functional teams.
