Position Overview
Job Description
We are looking for a 1-year FTC paralegal to assist a dynamic international team of Energy and Infrastructure lawyers based in Seoul. Please do submit a 1-page cover letter with your CV if you are keen on the position.
With direct supervision of the lawyers, the paralegal would be expected to assist on the tasks such as:
Legal Work
- Drafting and assisting with the review of simple finance documents, project documents, due diligence reports and other documents and emails.
- Assisting with the conditions precedent process and signing of documents, including distributing original documents.
- Proof-reading and indexing documents and preparing e-bibles.
- Conducting research on certain industrial sector(s) (including by way of searching Korean news articles) and drafting an internal or client-facing summary.
- If requested by clients, translation of documents (including emails) from and to Korean and English.
Marketing Support / Other
- Drafting pitch materials.
- Assisting with the organisation of client events / seminars.
- Assisting with office administration or any other work as required.
Skills / Experience / Qualifications Required
- We are looking for someone who is motivated, organised, accurate, committed, efficient, able to think logically, meets deadline, works well as part of a team but is a self-starter and gets on with tasks without prompting.
- Ability to accommodate flexible working hours depending on the needs of the team and ability to work with people across all levels are a must.
- Fluent Korean and English language skills (both oral and written) are essential. Native Korean speakers are preferred. Understanding of Korean customs/courtesy is a must.
- We require a high level of academic achievement, and a BA degree is required. Qualification as a solicitor and experience as a paralegal are not required.
