The Opportunity

We are seeking a proactive Paralegal to provide comprehensive legal support to our Australia-based In-House Counsel team. Supporting a broad remit across Australia and Asia, this role offers exposure to a diverse range of legal matters, including corporate governance, regulatory monitoring and day-to-day legal operations. This role can be based in either the Melbourne or Perth office.

What you’ll do

  • Conduct legal, regulatory, and business research across Australian and relevant Asian jurisdictions.

  • Assist in the preparation of legal advice, memoranda, summaries, and briefing notes.

  • Support drafting, formatting, and proofreading of legal documents, including contracts, policies, and internal guidance notes.

  • Review and summarise legal documents, agreements, and correspondence.

  • Draft and manage company resolutions and approvals, and ASIC filings.

  • Assist in maintaining compliance registers and obligations trackers.

  • Support implementation and updating of internal policies and procedures.

  • Manage document management systems and legal filing processes.

  • Maintain contract databases and track key obligations, renewals, and deadlines.

  • Provide general support to the broader General Counsel & Risk function as required.

What you’ll bring

  • Bachelor of Laws (LLB) completed or in progress.

  • Strong legal research and analytical skills.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • High attention to detail and strong organisational skills.

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

  • Experience with and/or a curiosity about AI and emerging technologies.

  • An innovative mindset, curious about AI and emerging technologies.
