About the Role:
As a Paralegal, you will have exciting opportunities to gain broad exposure to corporate legal operations while supporting key initiatives across the Legal Department. You will partner closely with Legal Department colleagues to help drive operational excellence, enhance processes, and support the department's strategic goals.
You will support a variety of legal operations activities, including legal project management, confidentiality and non-disclosure agreement administration, maintenance of legal databases, board-level administration, and management of legal entities. The role will require strong organizational and communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities while handling sensitive and confidential information. You will assist with the coordination, documentation, and execution of critical legal processes and contribute to projects that advance the Legal Department's initiatives and objectives.
Responsibilities of the Role:
- Assist attorneys in drafting, reviewing and negotiating confidentiality/non-disclosure agreements.
- Maintenance of internal document repositories.
- Responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing legal operations projects from initiation through completion, ensuring alignment with organizational goals, timelines, and budgets (as applicable), while managing resources and coordinating with stakeholders.
- Foster the implementation and adoption of legal tools and systems (e.g., contract lifecycle management, eBilling, document repositories, AI initiatives, etc.).
- Perform legal research, analysis, and other duties as requested.
- Facilitate the review of invoices for accuracy and payment and assist with legal department billing needs.
- Prepare filings for posting to the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission or other applicable regulatory website.
- Facilitate communications and meetings with key stakeholders on projects, including senior leadership across Invesco globally.
Requirements of the Role:
- Minimum 5 years paralegal/document specialist experience with a preference for agreement production and legal operations experience.
- College degree or equivalent experience required.
- Paralegal certification or training courses preferred.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft 365 Office applications and Adobe Acrobat.
- Diligent Entities, Diligent Board and SEC filing experience highly preferred.
- Experience with artificial intelligence (AI) technologies, including AI agents, preferred.
- Knowledge of or ability to learn specialized software applications for in-house legal work, including contract lifecycle management and legal invoicing solutions.
