Job Description
This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Paralegal, Legal Operations & Communications based in the United States.
This is an opportunity to become the operational backbone of a fast-growing legal function within a high-growth consumer business.
You will coordinate legal matters across contracts, corporate affairs, employment, intellectual property, compliance, and disputes.
The role combines traditional paralegal responsibilities with legal project management and cross-functional communications.
You will create structure around priorities, deadlines, stakeholders, and legal workstreams while keeping matters moving from intake to completion.
Working closely with attorneys, executives, internal teams, and outside counsel, you will help ensure clear communication and effective execution.
The position offers significant autonomy and the opportunity to build scalable legal processes, systems, and SOPs.
It is well suited to an organized, proactive professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and takes ownership of getting things done.
Accountabilities:
- Own and maintain the company-wide legal project tracker, ensuring priorities, owners, deadlines, status updates, and next steps remain accurate and visible.
- Project manage legal matters from initial intake through completion, proactively tracking open items, coordinating stakeholders, and ensuring deadlines are met.
- Serve as a central communications point for legal matters, facilitating clear and timely communication among attorneys, executives, business teams, and outside counsel.
- Organize incoming legal requests, consolidate feedback, coordinate responses, and manage effective handoffs between stakeholders.
- Coordinate a broad range of legal workstreams, including contract reviews, corporate matters, employment matters, intellectual property, compliance initiatives, disputes, and other business-related legal projects.
- Prepare, organize, and maintain agreements, legal correspondence, corporate records, and supporting documentation with a high level of accuracy and confidentiality.
- Identify opportunities to improve legal workflows and build scalable processes, systems, and SOPs that increase efficiency, visibility, and accountability.
- Anticipate upcoming needs, follow up independently, and keep legal projects moving without requiring constant direction.
- 3–5+ years of experience as a paralegal, legal operations professional, legal project manager, or in a closely related role.
- Strong project management capabilities, with the ability to coordinate multiple legal matters, stakeholders, priorities, and deadlines simultaneously.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with confidence communicating professionally with attorneys, executives, outside counsel, and cross-functional teams.
- Highly organized and detail-oriented, with strong ownership, follow-through, prioritization, and deadline-management skills.
- Practical experience working with contracts, legal correspondence, corporate records, and other legal documentation.
- Strong judgment and discretion when managing confidential, sensitive, or business-critical information.
- Ability to work independently, take initiative, identify next steps, and proactively resolve coordination challenges.
- Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, rapidly evolving environment where priorities may shift and processes need to scale quickly.
