This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Paralegal Specialist based in the United States.

This is a fully remote opportunity supporting complex insurance defense litigation in Alabama.
You will work closely with experienced attorneys throughout the litigation lifecycle, from case inception through resolution and trial preparation.

You will play an important role in maintaining accurate, organized case files and supporting strong legal outcomes.
The environment is fast-paced and collaborative, with opportunities to handle a substantial and varied caseload.
Hands-on training and mentorship provide a strong foundation for expanding your litigation expertise and developing your legal career.
This position is well suited to an experienced paralegal who is highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable taking ownership of multiple priorities.

Accountabilities:

    • Manage litigation files from initial intake through resolution, including ongoing case administration and trial preparation.
    • Draft, prepare, and file pleadings and other legal documents while supporting attorneys with motion practice and related litigation activities.
    • Respond to and coordinate discovery requests, ensuring documents and information are prepared accurately and within required deadlines.
    • Order, organize, and track medical records and coordinate expert review, disclosures, and supporting documentation.
    • Prepare materials for arbitration and trial, including jury instructions when applicable.
    • Monitor court and case deadlines, coordinate timely service, and ensure compliance with procedural requirements.
    • Maintain complete, accurate, and well-organized litigation files throughout the life of each case.
    • Collaborate closely with attorneys and fellow paralegals to prioritize workloads, resolve issues, and maintain high-quality case support.
    • Manage multiple cases simultaneously while adapting to changing priorities and maintaining attention to detail.
    • Provide reliable legal and administrative support that contributes to efficient case progression and strong litigation outcomes.
    • Requirements:

      • Meet the minimum qualifications for paralegals established under applicable state law.
      • 5+ years of paralegal experience, preferably with a focus on insurance defense, bodily injury, or civil litigation.
      • Demonstrated experience managing a high-volume caseload in a fast-paced legal environment.
      • Familiarity with litigation procedures, including pleadings, discovery, motions, court filings, and trial preparation.
      • Strong legal writing and document-preparation skills, with excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
      • Excellent organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple cases, deadlines, and competing priorities effectively.
      • Strong attention to detail and accuracy when handling legal documents, case records, and confidential information.
      • Working knowledge of legal software and case-management tools, with the ability to learn new systems efficiently.
      • Strong legal analysis, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.
      • Ability to work independently in a remote environment while collaborating effectively with attorneys and other legal professionals.
      • Professional judgment, reliability, and the ability to take ownership of assigned work.
      • Comfortable working in a demanding environment where deadlines and case priorities can change quickly.
      • Benefits:

        • Competitive compensation of $28.03–$42.99 per hour, based on experience and qualifications.
        • Fully remote, home-based position within the United States.
        • Dedicated support and mentorship from experienced attorneys and paralegals.
        • Hands-on training designed to strengthen litigation and insurance-defense expertise.
        • Opportunity to work on high-impact bodily injury and civil litigation matters.
        • More predictable scheduling and flexibility designed to support work-life balance.
        • Exposure to a broad range of legal, litigation, risk-management, and business matters.
        • Opportunities for professional development and career advancement.
        • Technology support for remote work, including a laptop, monitors, headset, keyboard, and mouse.
        • Monthly connectivity reimbursement to help offset internet costs.
        • Required home-office setup includes a private, distraction-free workspace and reliable internet with minimum speeds of 50 Mbps download and 5 Mbps upload.
        • Background investigation required as part of the hiring process.
