Product Compliance Manager (Abu Dhabi based)

About the Role

The role provides senior compliance expertise and leadership to the ADGM Recognised Bodies (i.e., recognised investment exchanges, clearing houses, and custodians) and the ADGM financial services provider entity. 

Responsibilities

• Review and approve new products, features, and business initiatives to ensure alignment with FSRA rules and requirements

• Regulatory Liaison: Act as a key point of contact for new product request/proposal submission, regulatory queries, and approvals concerning product scope and respective FSRA compliance

• Risk & Impact Assessment: Conduct compliance risk assessments, gap analyses, and operational testing for new financial instruments, assets, products or features

• Generate product compliance plan with joint efforts from cross functions to ensure it is managed in accordance with the BU’s objectives

• Policy Implementation: Draft, update, and maintain internal compliance policies, frameworks, and monitoring controls.

• Provide advice to staff, training and support as necessary to ensure adherence with the product compliance plans

• Assist with internal compliance audits.

Requirements

• Minimum of 10 years in regulatory compliance, specifically within fintech, crypto, or traditional financial services.

• Deep familiarity with FSRA rulebooks in particular to GEN, COBS, MIR,, etc.

• Track record on regulatory engagement on product compliance aspect and hands on experience in responding regulatory queries on new product approval process 

• Ability to effectively organize rulebook gap analysis and risk assessment with good execution credentials and manage detailed proposal for FSRA’s review and approval

• Ability to provide and communicate advice & guidance in a practical & commercial manner with internal stakeholders 

• Strong attention to detail
