Job Description

The Regulatory Controls Testing Analyst is responsible for delivering independent second line assurance over the design and operating effectiveness of regulatory controls for The Currency Cloud Limited (“TCCL”).

The role supports the execution of the Regulatory Controls Testing Framework through the completion of testing activities, issue management, reporting and framework enhancement initiatives.

The role works closely with stakeholders across the business to assess the effectiveness of regulatory controls and identify opportunities to strengthen TCCL's regulatory control environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Regulatory Controls Testing

  • Execute regulatory controls testing in accordance with the approved testing plan and methodology.
  • Assess both the design and operating effectiveness of controls against applicable regulatory requirements and internal standards.
  • Prepare testing scopes, sample selections, evidence requests and working papers.
  • Document testing results, observations, findings and recommendations in accordance with quality standards.
  • Identify control weaknesses, enhancement opportunities and emerging themes through testing activities.

Framework Development and Enhancement

  • Contribute to the ongoing development and maintenance of the Regulatory Controls Testing Framework, methodology and supporting documentation.
  • Support framework reviews and assist with implementation of process improvements.
  • Contribute to initiatives that improve testing efficiency, quality and consistency.

Issue Management and Reporting

  • Support issue management activities, including issue tracking, remediation monitoring and validation testing.

  • Prepare testing reports, management information and thematic analysis.
  • Maintain accurate testing records and supporting documentation.
  • Support reporting to management and governance forums.

Stakeholder Management

  • Build effective working relationships with Control Owners and other stakeholders to facilitate testing activities.

  • Support discussions relating to findings, remediation activities and testing outcomes.
  • Provide guidance on testing requests, timelines and evidence requirements.

Continuous Improvement

  • Share knowledge and lessons learned across the wider Regulatory Compliance team.

  • Support development of testing templates, guidance and procedures.
  • Maintain awareness of emerging regulatory developments and industry good practice.

We are currently operating a hybrid working policy, with the expectation being 3 days per week in the Warsaw office.

 

Qualifications

Experience and Skills

  • Experience within Regulatory Compliance, Compliance Assurance, Monitoring & Testing, Risk, Audit or a similar assurance function.

  • Understanding of UK regulatory obligations applicable to financial services firms.

  • Strong analytical, investigative and problem-solving skills.

  • Strong written communication and stakeholder engagement skills.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities whilst maintaining high-quality standards.

  • Ability to balance attention to detail with a pragmatic, risk-based approach.
