Job Description
Dentons Bratislava is seeking a Senior Associate for its Energy and Infrastructure practice. You will advise on energy projects, regulatory matters before the Úrad pre reguláciu sieťových odvetví (ÚRSO – Regulatory Office for Network Industries), and public-private partnerships across Slovakia.
Slovakia's energy transition, including nuclear energy expansion at Mochovce and renewable energy development, creates significant legal demand. This role involves advising project developers, utilities, and investors on energy licensing, grid connection agreements, and EU energy regulations as implemented in Slovak law.
Responsibilities
Advise on energy project development including renewables, nuclear, and gas infrastructure. Handle regulatory matters before ÚRSO and the Ministry of Economy. Draft and negotiate power purchase agreements and grid connection contracts. Support PPP and concession projects under Slovak public procurement law. Advise on EU energy regulations and their Slovak implementation. Coordinate with Dentons offices on cross-border energy transactions.
Requirements
SAK-registered Advokát with 5-8 years of energy, infrastructure, or project finance experience. Knowledge of Slovak energy legislation, including Zákon o energetike and Zákon o regulácii. Experience with ÚRSO proceedings and EU energy directives. Fluent Slovak and English required.
