Senior Associate Lawyer in IP/IT and Data (3+ years experience)
Location: Brussels (flexible working including Antwerp office or remote)

What you’ll do
As a Senior Associate Lawyer in IP/IT and Data with us:

  • You will build the bridge between law and technology, participating actively in multidisciplinary and international teams and projects.
  • You will provide expert legal advice concerning intellectual property, information technologies, digital products, e-commerce, cyber security, cloud, platforms, software development and licenses, data protection and privacy, etc.
  • You will assist in drafting complex commercial agreements for the development, sale or purchase of IP, digital products, e-commerce platforms, and R&D, including in business partnerships, co-development projects, and the gig economy.
  • You will identify and advise on legal risks related to IP, IT and data, including performing due diligence in M&A projects.
  • You will stay updated and provide guidance on new regulations, including the EU Digital Package and other emerging digital legislation.
  • You will efficiently work in a digital environment and leverage new technologies in your legal practice.

Who you are

  • You hold a Master’s degree in Law with specialization in IP and/or IT.
  • You have at least 3 years of relevant professional experience in IP/IT and data law.
  • You are fluent in Dutch (native or bilingual), with very good command of English and knowledge of French.
  • You are a proactive team player, able to collaborate effectively in international and multidisciplinary project teams.
  • You demonstrate continuous eagerness to learn and keep abreast of technology trends and new regulatory developments.
  • You have a client-oriented attitude combined with excellent analytical, communication, and drafting skills.
  • You have proven ability to work independently and in teams, thriving in digital work environments with new technologies.
