Sr. Contract Manager

The Senior Contract Manager is responsible for overseeing and operationalizing a highly complex IT Managed Services contract within a healthcare environment. This role “lives inside the contract,” ensuring that contractual obligations are clearly understood, accurately interpreted, and effectively translated into day‑to‑day operational guardrails.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Interpret and operationalize contract terms, translating complex contractual language into actionable processes, controls, and operational guidelines.
  • Serve as the primary contract SME, ensuring all stakeholders understand obligations, boundaries, dependencies, and performance commitments.
  • Establish and maintain operational guardrails that ensure day‑to‑day activities remain aligned with contractual commitments.
  • Partner with Service Delivery, PMO, Finance, Legal, and Client Executive to ensure operational decisions and service execution adhere to contract requirements.
  • Oversee SLA interpretation and validation, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and alignment with contractual definitions.
  • Lead contract change processes, in alignment with legal, including project orders, change orders, and SOWs ensuring changes are documented, justified, and operationally feasible.
  • Support governance forums, including QBRs, performance reviews, and compliance audits, providing clear and authoritative contract guidance.
  • Maintain comprehensive contract documentation, including obligations matrices, risk logs, change logs, and decision records.
  • Stay current on industry standards, regulatory requirements, and best practices relevant to IT managed services and healthcare compliance.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS) in Business, Legal Studies, IT Management, or a related field.
  • 7-10+ years of experience managing complex, multi‑service IT Managed Services or ITO contracts, preferably in healthcare.
  • Demonstrated expertise in interpreting, operationalizing, and governing complex IT outsourcing contract structures.
  • Deep understanding of IT Managed Services, service delivery models, and SLA frameworks.
  • Proven ability to collaborate across technical, operational, legal, and executive teams.
  • Exceptional communication and stakeholder‑management skills.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex contract language and translate it into operational requirements.

Work Hours:

  • This role supports U.S.-based leaders and teams and requires working during standard U.S. business hours.
