Job Description
The role
We advise the world's leading fund sponsors and asset managers on the formation of a broad range of products including closed-ended and open-ended funds, evergreen platforms, permanent capital vehicles, quasi-retail products, and bespoke managed account and co-investment arrangements. We cover all asset classes, including private equity, private credit, infrastructure and real estate. While primarily a sponsor-side practice, we also advise blue chip institutional investors on fund commitments, joint ventures and similar arrangements. Our work spans primary fundraising and secondary transactions, including LP portfolio sales and acquisitions, GP-led continuation vehicles and fund re-organisations. We work closely with our funds-tax and funds-regulatory teams across key jurisdictions to provide a one-stop service.
Our team is composed of 3 Partners and about 40 lawyers from diverse backgrounds and nationalities. English is the official working language, while French, German and Luxembourgish are also used on a regular basis.
To reinforce our Funds & Asset Management team, we are looking for a Senior Associate. You will work on different matters, including but not limited to:
Structuring and documenting regulated and unregulated funds from pre-launching to post closing.
- Advising financial service providers
- Advising on distribution channels
- Corporate and transactional services
- Managing client relationships
- Supervising and mentoring junior lawyers
- Contributing to the knowledge management.
- At least 5 years' experience in alternative funds and UCITS ideally gained within an international law firm.
- Experience in advising clients with regards to depository and administration matters.
- You are ideally admitted to the 'Liste II' or to the 'Liste IV'.
- Excellent knowledge of Luxembourg Investment Fund structures (UCITS, SIFs, RAIFs, SICARs, unregulated funds).
- Fluency in English; French, German and Luxemburgish are considered an asset.
- Dynamism, team spirit and communication skills are required qualities to progress in our stimulating environment.
- Willingness to provide high service delivery for our clients.
- Collaborative spirit and eagerness to work with different level in the firm and guide/train juniors colleagues.
