About Iso

Isomorphic Labs (IsoLabs) was launched in 2021 to advance human health by building on and beyond the Nobel-winning AlphaFold system. Since then, our interdisciplinary team of drug discovery experts and machine learning specialists has built powerful new predictive and generative AI models that accelerate scientific discovery at digital speed.

As Senior Legal, Clinical, you will play a pivotal role in advancing our drug candidates into and through clinical development. Working as part of our global legal function, and embedded directly alongside our clinical operations and development teams in Cambridge, you will serve as the dedicated legal partner driving the drafting, negotiation and execution of high-volume, critical clinical research agreements. Your expertise will safeguard IsoLabs' intellectual property and regulatory posture, while accelerating clinical trial initiation, directly contributing to our mission of bringing AI-designed medicines to patients at digital speed.

What you will do 

• Draft, review, negotiate and execute a wide variety of clinical research agreements, including Clinical Trial Agreements (CTA), Master Service Agreements (MSA), investigator agreements, site contracts, laboratory service agreements, clinical supply agreements and patient and subject-related agreements.  
• Serve as the primary, day-to-day legal business partner embedded directly alongside the Clinical Development team. 
• Partner with internal stakeholders to establish, scale and optimise standardised clinical contracting playbooks and template libraries to streamline study start-up timelines. 
• Identify, manage and mitigate legal, regulatory, intellectual property, data privacy, and compliance risks across global clinical operations. 
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional Legal & Business Operations colleagues (IP, Corporate Legal and Privacy) to ensure end-to-end alignment on trial governance and data rights. 
• Manage outside counsel and clinical transactions legal budget. 
• Proactively evaluate, pilot, and embed cutting-edge AI technologies into the clinical contracting lifecycle to accelerate legal operations.

Skills and qualifications 

• J.D. or equivalent law degree with active U.S. state bar admission in good standing (Massachusetts Bar or eligible for in-house registration in MA).
• Substantial, direct experience structuring, drafting, and negotiating complex clinical trial agreements, Master Service Agreements (MSA), investigator agreements, site contracts, laboratory service agreements, clinical supply agreements and patient and subject-related agreements.  
• Experience gained either within a biotechnology/pharmaceutical in-house legal department or a specialised life sciences law firm practice.
• Expert knowledge of clinical trial execution, CRO outsourcing models and regulatory guidelines (GCP/ICH). 
• Proven ability to work autonomously and prioritise a high volume of transactions in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
• Strong collaborative mindset with exceptional stakeholder communication skills, tailored to embedding directly with scientific, medical and clinical operations teams.
• Familiarity with global and multi-jurisdictional clinical trial contracting landscapes (US, UK, and EU regulatory frameworks).
• Experience navigating clinical data rights and IP provisions at the intersection of computational biology, data-intensive research, or AI-driven platforms.

Hybrid working

It’s hugely important for us to share knowledge and build strong relationships with each other, and we find it easier to do this if we spend time together in person. This is why we follow a hybrid model, and would require you to be able to come into the office 3 days a week (currently Tuesday, Wednesday, and one other day depending on which team you’re in).
