Job Description

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as primary legal advisor to senior leadership on strategic and operational matters.

  • Draft, review, and negotiate commercial and technology agreements (SaaS, partnerships, enterprise customers, vendors).

  • Advise on data privacy and regulatory compliance, including Singapore Personal Data Protection Act and other APAC privacy regulations. 

  • Support product launches, fintech/payment integrations, and cross-border business expansion.

  • Manage corporate governance and company secretarial matters, including board resolutions, director changes, and regulatory filings across multiple jurisdictions.

  • Work closely with the corporate legal team in Berlin, and collaborate with Finance, HR, and other business functions on legal and compliance matters.

  • Conduct legal and compliance training for internal teams and support the implementation of internal policies and best practices.

  • Coordinate with external counsel on cross-border legal issues.

Qualifications

Key Requirements

  • Minimum 7-8 years of working experience in a regional corporate legal capacity within a fast-paced, fast-evolving, and dynamic environment, post relevant degree in Law. Minimum 2-3 years of experience in the tech industry would be preferred. 

  • Successful experience in leading negotiations on complex, high value, contracts, and agreement is a must have. 

  • Be able to break down legal advice in simple terms that can be comprehended by business stakeholders who don’t have any legal background. 

  • Excellent written communication skills in drafting high-value legal documentation, which must be clear, unambiguous, concise, and conclusive, leaving no room for misinterpretation or manipulation.  

  • Ability to handle multiple simultaneous tasks and meet tight deadlines, be proactive and self-motivated, have a keen eye for detail, and have an ability to remain calm and composed during times of uncertainty and stress.
