Position Summary:
Collins Aerospace is seeking an experienced Sr Mgr., Legal Affairs & Financial Management to lead budgeting, forecasting, spend analysis, and financial governance for the Legal, Compliance, & Contracts (LCC) organization. This role partners closely with Finance to ensure accurate financial planning, monthly SAP data review, quarterly accruals, and alignment with corporate budget processes.
In addition to financial oversight, the role supports key outside counsel activities for counsel on a global basis including Alternative Fee Agreement administration, matter budgeting, compliance with RTX LCC policies, and ensuring cost‑effective engagement of outside counsel. The position requires strong analytical skills, sound judgment, and the ability to operate independently within a global, highly regulated environment.
What You Will Do:
- Lead LCC financial planning and oversight, partnering closely with Finance on budgeting, forecasting, and spend analysis.
- Ensure accuracy and compliance of LCC financial processes including reporting, SAP data integrity, accruals, and chargebacks.
- Ensure fee arrangements for outside counsel are timely and accurately entered in the invoice management system, and updated as necessary
- Oversee outside counsel engagement and governance, including matter budgeting and alignment with RTX LCC policies.
- Manage Alternative Fee Agreements (AFA) strategy and financial adherence to promote cost‑effective and transparent legal matter management.
- Support approval and payment of legal settlements
- Drive efficiency and cost control across legal matters through oversight of staffing models and fee compliance.
- Serve as a key liaison across LCC and RTX organizations, ensuring alignment on financial standards and operational expectations.
- Support Government Accounting in assessing allowable vs. unallowable spend and maintaining required documentation.
- Maintain governance for LCC disbursement authority and ensure adherence to financial and procedural controls.
Qualifications You Must Have:
- Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 10 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 7 years of experience
- Strong financial management experience including budgeting, forecasting, or financial analysis.
- Experience managing litigation matters and working with outside law firms
- Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple high priority matters simultaneously.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- High level of discretion and ability to manage confidential and sensitive information.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in legal operations, financial analysis, compliance, or outside counsel management
- Experience in a complex, matrixed organization
- Experience in legal operations of non-US based outside counsel
- Strong analytical skills and experience preparing executive‑level financial reporting.
- Experience within the aerospace, manufacturing, engineering, or other highly regulated industries.
- Exposure to matter, management software, invoice management tools, data analytics tools and litigation reporting dashboards (e.g., Legal Tracker, SharePoint, and Microsoft Power BI)
- Experience supporting regulatory investigations or government-related matters.

The salary range for this role is 132,400 USD - 251,600 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
