Position Summary...
This role enables AI governance compliance, specifically focused on technology enablement of compliance throughout an AI system's lifecycle. The role supports run time observability, testing and monitoring, and promotes standards for responsible AI use. This position translates evolving laws and regulations into identification of risks and design and deployment of controls. The role will embed compliance controls in technology, collaborate closely with engineering teams on AI governance technology design and deployment (and is an end user), define and design guardrails, continuously test and monitor, monitor key performance metrics, create, and drive continuous enhancements aligned with business objectives.About the team...
The AI Governance Compliance Team, part of Global Governance, drives responsible AI innovation through a comprehensive governance framework emphasizing training, assessment, policies, and technical monitoring. The team ensures alignment with Walmart’s values and regulatory requirements while supporting cross-functional collaboration with business units and enabling functions such as Global Technology and Product Teams. Focused on speed and compliance, the team develops and implements strategies to manage emerging risks, regulatory changes, and internal controls. It fosters continuous improvement and leverages technology solutions to uphold high standards in compliance and ethics across the organization.
What you'll do...
- Design and deploy process and technology solutions to manage risk and enhance compliance effectiveness at scale. Collaborate in building responsible AI tools and capabilities for developers to build and deploy AI responsibly at scale.
- Collaborate on and communicate compliance strategies related to AI governance technology throughout AI lifecycle.
- Continuously test and monitor AI use, identify potential gaps, recommending and enabling corrective actions. Build and deploy process for consistency in monitoring and testing, and operations at scale.
- Contribute to and evaluate compliance program metrics and coordinate cross-functional policy and training development, and technology design and deployment, for organizational alignment.
What you'll bring:
- Experience in technology enablement of compliance programs, compliance management, regulatory requirements, and risk management within complex organizations.
- A builder with proven ability to develop, implement, and improve policies, procedures, and internal controls aligned with business strategy.
- Strong technical acumen, including familiarity with technology solutions, DevOps, and AIOps to enhance compliance processes.
- Expertise in conducting compliance auditing, gap analysis, and managing change to address emerging risks.
- Demonstrated experience in collaborating with senior management and cross-functional teams to drive compliance and ethics programs.
- Excellent communication skills to present impact analyses and influence organizational alignment.
- Commitment to continuous improvement and fostering a culture of integrity and accountability.

The annual salary range for this position is $90,000.00 - $180,000.00 Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses. Additional compensation for certain positions may also include :
