Job Description

Product Sales Specialist (Legal Co Counsel)

As a Product Sales Specialist (Legal Co Counsel), you will play a crucial role in expanding Thomson Reuters’ presence and driving market growth for Legal Co Counsel. You will partner closely with Sales and go-to-market teams to proactively develop opportunities, strengthen pipeline and conversion, and help progress deals from discovery through close—bringing product, market, and competitive expertise that improves customer outcomes and revenue performance.

About the Role

In this opportunity you will:

  • Proactively drive and support sales for Legal Co Counsel by partnering with Sales Managers through prospecting, discovery, solution positioning, value confirmation, and close.

  • Maintain deep knowledge of legal services buying dynamics, trends, and the competitive landscape; translate insights into actionable deal strategy.

  • Enable go-to-market teams by developing and delivering enablement materials (talk tracks, competitive intelligence, discovery questions, playbooks) and providing ongoing deal support for the Thomas Reuters Legal Co Counsel product line.

  • Participate in customer meetings as a Legal Co Counsel SME—conduct needs assessments, align requirements, and present tailored solutions in collaboration with Sales and Solutions Consulting.

  • Collaborate cross-functionally (Product, Product Marketing, Partnerships & Alliances, Enablement) to share field feedback and strengthen messaging, plays, and customer outcomes for Legal Co Counsel.

  • Support development of customer success stories and case studies that demonstrate Legal Co Counsel value and accelerate adoption.

About You

You're a fit for the role, if you have:

  • 8+ years of go-to-market experience in sales, sales management, solution consulting, sales enablement, or go-to-market strategy.

  • Knowledge of the legal industry and legal buying process (law departments and/or law firms); familiarity with outside counsel management, matter workflows, and legal service delivery is a plus.

  • Ability to support and influence complex, multi-stakeholder sales cycles; comfortable conveying product concepts and workflows to both legal and non-legal audiences.

  • Strong business acumen and customer-centric mindset, with the ability to translate market insights into pragmatic actions that improve win rates and customer outcomes for legal teams.

  • Comfort operating in a matrixed environment and collaborating across Sales, Product, Product Marketing, Enablement, and Partnerships & Alliances.

  • Strong communication and presentation skills; able to contribute to customer meetings, internal enablement, and field-ready sales assets.
