Job Description

Baker McKenzie Caracas is hiring a Tax Associate based in Caracas, Venezuela. Advise corporate clients on Venezuelan tax planning, controversy and compliance.

Responsibilities

  • Advise on the Codigo Organico Tributario and SENIAT procedures
  • Prepare tax opinions and support audits and disputes
  • Advise on municipal and VAT matters for multinationals
  • Monitor regulatory changes affecting clients

Requirements

  • Licenciatura en Derecho from an accredited Venezuelan university.
  • Admission as an abogado (registered with a Colegio de Abogados and INPREABOGADO).
  • 2 to 5 years in tax practice
  • Especializacion en Derecho Tributario a plus
