Purpose of the role:
The role will manage the team responsible for compliance with HKMA reporting requirements as well as disclosure notes.
What you will be doing:
Analyze the bank’s financial performance, and provide timely and accurate reports including, HKMA Returns and Surveys, Disclosure notes of the Bank, Internal management reports, and ad hoc reports
Develop and implement processes and procedures to ensure compliance with all relevant statutory and regulatory requirements
Provide new reporting and regulatory changes update to senior management
Work with internal and external stakeholders to ensure meeting all financial and regulatory reporting requirements
Implement new systems, system enhancement and data quality improvement
Participate in ad hoc projects
Who are we looking for:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
Comprehensive knowledge of accounting standards and regulatory rules
Minimum 15 years of banking accounting and reporting experience, including HKMA regulatory reporting, and proven leadership of teams.
Communication, interpersonal & presentation skills in both Chinese and English
Strong team leader, eager to learn and develop a finance career in banking
Thorough knowledge of financial accounting principles and the bank’s accounting system, HKMA/MAS and accounting regulations
