To become a lawyer in Jordan, first earn a recognised bachelor's degree in law. You then register with the Jordan Bar Association and complete a supervised training period (probation), normally two years, or one year if you hold a postgraduate law degree. During training you sit the Bar's written examinations (held several times a year) and, on passing, an oral examination before a committee of judges, professors and senior lawyers, followed by a research paper. Once you complete these requirements, take the oath before the Minister of Justice and meet the nationality, age and good-conduct conditions, the Jordan Bar Association enrols you as a practising lawyer.
