Libya is a North African civil-law jurisdiction whose legal system draws on civil-law codes and Islamic law principles, with legal activity centred mainly in Tripoli and Benghazi. To become a lawyer in Libya, first earn a degree in law or Sharia from a recognised Libyan or equivalent foreign university.
