Job Description
Baker McKenzie Caracas is hiring a Energy & Projects Counsel based in Caracas, Venezuela. Advise energy, oil & gas and infrastructure clients on contracts and regulation.
Responsibilities
- Advise on the Ley Organica de Hidrocarburos and sector regulation
- Negotiate operating, service and EPC contracts
- Advise foreign operators and oil-services companies
- Manage regulatory filings and approvals
Requirements
- Licenciatura en Derecho from an accredited Venezuelan university.
- Admission as an abogado (registered with a Colegio de Abogados and INPREABOGADO).
- 5+ years in energy/projects
- English essential; technical-contracts experience
