Compliance Director, Fidelity Digital Assets®, NA Compliance – Product Advisory

 

The Role

As a Director within the Fidelity Digital Assets® Compliance team, you will serve as a strategic advisor to the business, helping drive a strong culture of compliance, ethical conduct, and regulatory excellence.

 

In this role, you will play a key part in shaping the Product Advisory program for a rapidly evolving digital asset platform. You will work cross-functionally to support innovative products and services while ensuring alignment with regulatory expectations across jurisdictions.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Advise on the launch of new products and enhancements to existing offerings, ensuring compliance readiness from concept through deployment
  • Help build and evolve the Compliance Advisory program, including governance, frameworks, and best practices
  • Serving as the primary compliance advisor to the Fidelity Digital Assets® Finance team
  • Serving as the compliance lead for the Regulation W program
  • Collaborate with global compliance teams to support international expansion and regulatory alignment
  • Engage closely with Product team to understand strategy, roadmap, and emerging risks
  • Provide compliance support for digital asset trading
  • Define compliance requirements, design and document controls, and oversee implementation of policies and procedures
  • Monitor product activity to identify risks, escalate issues, and recommend control and process improvements
  • Coordinate with AML and Risk teams on surveillance, investigations, and escalations
  • Identify control gaps and lead development of pragmatic, compliant remediation plans
  • Support product risk assessments in partnership with Compliance Governance and Operations
  • Provide compliance leadership and input to governance forums (e.g., Business Acceptance, New Product, and Trade Oversight Committees)
  • Delivering training and guidance to promote compliance awareness across the organization
  • Assist with regulatory inquiries, examinations, and related matters

 

The Expertise & Skills You Bring

  • 10 plus years of experience in Compliance, Risk, and/or Legal roles
  • Strong understanding of global regulatory frameworks applicable to digital assets
  • Demonstrated ability to design, implement, and oversee compliance controls
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence senior leaders
  • Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, evolving regulatory environment

 

Preferred

  • Experience supporting digital asset, crypto, or blockchain-related products
  • Prior experience leading or managing teams (directly or in a matrixed environment) 
  • Prior Finance or Reg W experience
  • Advanced degree (MBA, JD, or similar) 
  • Knowledge of blockchain, DeFi, and related technologies 
  • Knowledge of OCC regulations 
  • Experience interacting with U.S. financial services regulators 
  • Experience working cross-functionally with Legal, Risk, Operations, and Audit

This role reports to the Vice President of Product Advisory and is part of the Fidelity Digital Assets® Compliance organization, led by the Chief Compliance Officer for Fidelity Digital Assets®.

Fidelity Digital Assets® is an enterprise-grade platform supporting custody, trading, and servicing digital assets.

Fidelity’s Onsite Working Model
Fidelity is transitioning to a full-time onsite working model through a phased rollout across regions and roles. Currently, some roles and locations require 100% onsite presence, while others require less. Onsite expectations are likely to evolve as the rollout continues. This transition does not apply to fully remote roles.

The base salary range for this position is $103,000-211,000 USD per year.  

Placement in the range will vary based on job responsibilities and scope, geographic location, candidate’s relevant experience, and other factors.

Base salary is only part of the total compensation package. Depending on the position and eligibility requirements, the offer package may also include bonus or other variable compensation.
