As Legal & Compliance Counsel, fixed-term contract, you will play a critical role in ensuring the highest standards of ethics, integrity, and legal excellence across our Bulgaria organization. You will act as a trusted business partner, supporting strategic decisions while safeguarding compliance and managing legal risks in a dynamic and purpose-driven environment.

Your Key Responsibilities:

Your responsibilities include, but not limited to:

  • Partner with business leaders to provide proactive legal advice and ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies
  • Support the implementation and continuous improvement of the Ethics, Risk & Compliance program in Bulgaria
  • Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, ensuring alignment with legal standards and business objectives
  • Identify and assess legal and compliance risks, providing practical and business-oriented solutions
  • Support risk management and compliance monitoring activities, including risk assessments and remediation actions
  • Contribute to investigations and resolution of compliance matters, ensuring appropriate follow-up and reporting
  • Deliver training and awareness initiatives to strengthen a strong culture of ethics, integrity, and speak-up behavior
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure transparency requirements and business continuity measures are effectively implemented
  • KPIs: Timely and high-quality legal advice, effective compliance program delivery, risk mitigation, and strong training completion rates.

What you鈥檒l bring to the role:

Essential Requirements:

  • University degree in Law
  • Relevant legal and/or compliance experience (minimum 2+ years)
  • Experience in contract drafting, negotiations, and providing legal advice to business stakeholders
  • Strong understanding of compliance principles, risk management, and regulatory requirements
  • Ability to identify legal risks and translate them into clear, actionable guidance
  • Experience supporting or contributing to compliance programs, training, or monitoring initiatives
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with a collaborative mindset
  • Fluent English (business and legal proficiency)
  • You are a proactive, adaptable, and solution-oriented professional with strong ethical judgment and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Desirable Requirements:

  • Experience in a regulated industry (e.g., pharmaceuticals or healthcare)
  • Experience in project or process management.
