To support our Legal Services Unit and the law firm FÖHLISCH Rechtsanwälte, we are looking for a:
Legal Assistant (f/m/d)
Cologne (hybrid) or Berlin (remote) | Permanent employment (full-time or part-time*)
Your Impact
As a Legal Assistant (f/m/d), you will help ensure that our legal processes run efficiently, digitally, and in a well-structured manner. With your organizational skills, attention to detail, and reliability, you will support our lawyers in advising businesses on forward-looking areas of law such as e-commerce, data protection, artificial intelligence, competition law, and intellectual property.
Your Responsibilities
Independently organize and coordinate daily legal operations
Monitor deadlines, appointments, and follow-up tasks, ensuring smooth and structured workflows
Coordinate communication with courts, public authorities, clients, and other external stakeholders
Prepare and review invoices and legal fee statements in accordance with the German Lawyers' Fees Act (RVG) and existing fee agreements
Support enforcement proceedings and related administrative processes
Utilize digital law firm processes and electronic legal communication systems (beA), while contributing to the continuous improvement of modern ways of working
Provide organizational, administrative, and client-related support to lawyers
Requirements
Completed vocational training as a Legal Assistant (Rechtsanwaltsfachangestellte*r) or a comparable qualification
Several years of experience in a law firm or legal environment is an advantage
Structured, independent, and reliable way of working
Strong service orientation and a professional, friendly manner when interacting with clients and business partners
Confident use of MS Office; experience with legal software such as Actaport as well as an interest in legal tech and AI-powered solutions is a plus
Enthusiasm for digital processes and the continuous optimization of workflows
Excellent German language skills, both written and spoken
