Position Summary

The HCC Manager, Research & Development, China supports Health Care Compliance and risk management activities in China. This role partners with R&D stakeholders to identify, assess, and mitigate HCC risks in line with J&J internal guidelines, HCC/HCBI Guidelines, applicable laws and regulations, industry codes, and anti-corruption laws, including the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA).


Key Responsibilities

  • Partner with business stakeholders to ensure that the HCC program effectively prevents, detects and/or corrects violations of laws, regulations and Company policies.
  • Implement and oversee the HCC program in line with the standards of the Department of Justice as well as expectations of local regulators.
  • Implement global HCC data strategy and Enterprise Risk Management approach including but not limited to Operational Excellence metrics, RAMI and other instruments to drive effectiveness.
  • Provide and coordinate appropriate guidance, education, training, and regular communications on HCC to all covered employees.
  • Provide compliance consultation, review of business transactions, represent HCC in business activities and meetings.
  • Provide support in Third Party Intermediary Due Diligence, red flags and conflict of interest risk management, and engage business in understanding this process and risk assessment.
  • Engage in partnerships across functions (legal, quality, regulatory and others) and within the wider HCC team to shape compliant business solutions.
  • Review, update and deploy Company policies as necessary.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance, Data Analytics, Law, or related field.
  • 5+ years’ experience in compliance, audit, risk management, or monitoring, with proven ability to influence stakeholders and deliver excellence in risk & compliance management.
  • Strong digital acumen; experience in shaping and applying data analytics and digital tools in the context of risk & compliance is a plus.
  • Strong analytical mindset with high attention to detail and ability to identify trends or anomalies.
  • Strong communicator with influencing skills and doer approach.
  • Fluency in Mandarin and English;
