We are currently looking for a Manager, Risk, Analytics & Compliance to join our team in Mississauga, ON.

Working within the Nissan Canada Finance division of the organization, this role will be responsible for leading the development, evaluation and communication of risk management models, policies and processes covering the areas of retail credit, wholesale credit and operational risk management.

Job Responsibilities –

Manage the regular review of local risk management policies, initiate updates as required and communicate updates to the affected teams in a timely manner. Evaluate the general adherence to policies, address non-compliance with the appropriate management teams and act as the key liaison for audit related activities.

Design, develop and monitor credit and collections strategies and related scorecards to optimize the volume and quality of automated decisions; recommend changes or modifications to the Senior Manager, Risk, Analytics & Compliance, as necessary.

Identify, assess and monitor strategy and portfolio performance trends; diagnose, summarize and communicate drivers of unexpected changes to portfolio composition and performance.

Develop and enhance the department’s reporting framework in collaboration with the Senior Manager, Risk, Analytics & Compliance

Manage project activities to ensure all Risk department deliverables are met on time and with accuracy; interface with other departments and external vendors to address and resolve issues.

Manage day-to-day responsibilities of the department to ensure resources and efforts are most optimally being utilized; assess team skills and capabilities and continually look for ways to provide and enhance the value delivered.

Lead the process of setting performance objectives for the team; supervise and provide leadership, coaching and guidance to grow team expertise that aligns with the business’ demand and direction.

Who We’re Looking for:

Required:

  • University Degree required in Statistics, Economics, Applied Mathematics or a similar data-focused discipline, or equivalent years of experience.
  • Minimum of 7 to 10 years of experience in functions such as risk management, internal audit, financial analysis or operations management.
  • Minimum of 3 - 5 years of direct people management.
  • Critical thinking and curious mindset with proven analytical, problem-solving and research skills; ability to work collaboratively across stakeholder groups, influence change and deliver results.
  • Ability to quickly learn new concepts, identify challenges and clearly articulate issues to others.
  • Highly organized with superior communication, project management and team leadership skills.

Desired:

  • Experience within the automotive industry is an asset.

Salary Range:

$110,032.00 - $137,665.00

This compensation range represents the minimum to midpoint base salary rates at Nissan for jobs assigned to this particular grade level. Please note that an employee’s base salary may occasionally be set above the midpoint of the salary band for this grade level, in recognition of the employee’s unique skills, work experience, education, work location, or market conditions. Compensation decisions also consider internal equity and comparisons with the base salary rates of other employees with similar backgrounds working in comparable roles. Note: Bonus, benefits, and other forms of variable compensation are not included in the base-salary range shown above.
