Job Description
The Sr. Contracts Analyst prepares, manages, and administers contracts and subcontracts, engaging all internal stakeholders for review and approval of contractual documents. This ensures adherence to company policy, satisfaction of customer specifications, and protection of the company’s contractual posture. The role serves as a subject matter expert in the end-to-end contract management process for various contract types, including reviewing deal terms, drafting agreements based on templates, managing negotiations, and executing agreements. The Sr. Contracts Analyst collaborates with stakeholders such as legal, finance, products, auditing, and other support teams to achieve key business objectives and maintain compliance with contract processes and procedures, including record filing, database management, and reporting.
All roles require digital fluency, including the ability to work with emerging technologies such as Generative AI tools (e.g. ChatGPT, Microsoft Copilot) to support everyday work.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as the subject matter expert for end-to-end contract management processes across various contract types and regions.
- Review deal terms, draft agreements using company templates, manage negotiations, and execute agreements.
- Ensure timely and accurate compliance with contract processes and procedures, including record filing, database management, and reporting.
- Collaborate with main stakeholders including legal, finance, products, auditing, and other support teams.
- Work closely with management, team members, and stakeholders to achieve business objectives.
- Train and guide stakeholders on contract processes and procedures.
- Manage special assignments as needed.
Visa requires at least 3 days in office, expectations of these days will be confirmed by your Hiring Manager.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
- 5 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor's Degree or at least 2 years of work experience with an Advanced degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 0 years of work experience with a PhD.
- Experience in contract drafting and management for commercial agreements.
- Experience in collaborating with cross-functional teams including legal, finance, and product.
- Experience in database management and reporting related to contracts.
- Experience in training or guiding stakeholders on contract processes.
- Experience in using computer applications such as Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
- Experience in using contract management software (e.g., Salesforce, Apttus) and e-signature tools (e.g., DocuSign).
- Experience in managing special assignments related to contracts.
- Experience in working independently and proactively, as well as collaboratively with minimal supervision.
- Experience in building strong working relationships with internal clients at all levels of management.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 6 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor's Degree or 4 or more years of relevant experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or up to 3 years of relevant experience with a PhD.
- Experience in contract drafting at a Fortune 500 or large-scale corporation or law firm.
- Experience in the payment services industry, banking and financial institutions laws and regulations, antitrust and competition law, technology and digital payments, or fintech.
- Experience in driving strategic efficiency process improvements to completion.
- Experience in managing multiple contract work queues and coordinating contract approval processes.
- Experience in preparing and drafting agreements and amendments in multiple languages (English, Spanish and Portuguese preferred).
