You then apply to the Nepal Bar Council, the statutory regulator established under the Nepal Bar Council Act 1993, and sit the Advocate License Examination, which has two written papers covering law, legal drafting and translation, plus an internship and an oral interview. After passing you register with the Council, take an oath and receive your licence and certificate number, which is what allows you to represent clients and argue cases in Nepal's courts.
