Job Description

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a GLOBAL - Senior Paralegal based in India.

This is a global, fully remote opportunity for an experienced immigration paralegal to manage employment-based immigration matters and provide high-quality support to clients and legal teams. You’ll take ownership of assigned accounts, driving cases from initiation through filing while maintaining strong attention to detail and service standards. The role combines hands-on case preparation with account management, stakeholder communication, and process coordination. You’ll work closely with attorneys, senior legal professionals, clients, foreign nationals, and junior paralegals in a collaborative environment. Technology plays an important role, with a proprietary platform used to centralize case information and streamline workflows. This role is ideal for someone who is proactive, organized, resilient, and confident managing complex immigration processes independently.

Accountabilities:

    • Partner with attorneys to provide account management services for assigned clients and ensure employment-based immigration processes progress efficiently from initiation through filing.
    • Use the immigration case management platform to create and maintain client and foreign national profiles, manage workflows, monitor case progress, and coordinate onboarding activities.
    • Draft assigned immigration applications, forms, letters, supporting documentation, and application packages for attorney review before government submission.
    • Manage PERM processes from initiation through final submission and, where applicable, initiate and prepare I-140 and Adjustment of Status applications following PERM completion.
    • Manage assigned client accounts with general attorney oversight, taking ownership of daily priorities and proactively moving cases forward within expected timelines.
    • Assign appropriate processes and tasks to junior paralegals when required, including case initiation, form preparation, final assembly, and stakeholder communications.
    • Review work prepared by junior-level paralegals, provide constructive feedback, and support consistent quality standards.
    • Provide assistance on other client matters when specific immigration knowledge or expertise can add value.
    • Monitor email and internal communication channels and respond promptly to requests from legal teams and external stakeholders, supporting a one-business-day client communication standard.
    • Prepare and support client reporting, including expiration reports, case initiation projections, status reports, and other data-driven updates.
    • Support larger client accounts and assist with coordinating work across multiple stakeholders when required.
    • Stay current on immigration law and procedural developments by reviewing updates and guidance shared by the firm and legal team.
    • Requirements:

      • At least 3 years of professional experience in employment-based immigration as a paralegal or in a similar capacity.
      • Hands-on experience preparing and managing employment-based immigration cases, including H-1B, PERM, dependent visa categories, TN, E-3, H-1B1, I-140, Adjustment of Status, RFE responses, and L-1 matters.
      • Experience with additional business immigration categories such as E-2, O-1, NIW, and EB-1A is desirable but not required.
      • Demonstrated ability to independently manage day-to-day activities for assigned client accounts and proactively move cases through the immigration process.
      • Strong understanding of immigration case workflows, documentation requirements, deadlines, and quality-control processes.
      • Experience preparing client reports and tracking case data is preferred.
      • Experience directing or mentoring junior-level paralegals and delegating case-related tasks is an advantage.
      • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate professionally with attorneys, clients, foreign nationals, and internal stakeholders.
      • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, particularly when managing multiple cases and competing deadlines.
      • Proactive and accountable approach, with the ability to take ownership of assigned work and operate effectively with general oversight.
      • Resilience and adaptability when managing complex cases, changing requirements, and client expectations.
      • Comfortable working in a technology-enabled, fully remote environment and using digital platforms to manage immigration workflows.
      • Must be located in India; immigration sponsorship is not available for this position.
      • Benefits:

        • Full-time, fully remote position available to candidates located anywhere in India.
        • Competitive annual salary of $30,000–$80,000, depending on location, experience, and background.
        • Opportunity to work on global employment-based immigration matters and support sophisticated client accounts.
        • Technology-enabled working environment designed to streamline case management and improve transparency.
        • Collaborative exposure to attorneys, senior legal professionals, clients, and international stakeholders.
        • Opportunities to develop expertise across a broad range of business immigration matters.
        • Inclusive and diversity-focused workplace culture.
        • Opportunity to take meaningful ownership of client accounts and develop professionally within a growing immigration practice.
