Who we are looking for
The Operational Risk & Compliance (ORC) team serves as a first line of defense risk partner for the Global Credit Finance (GCF) division of State Street’s Investment Services. ORC supports GCF by helping identify, assess, manage, and mitigate operational risk while ensuring compliance with corporate, divisional, and regulatory requirements.
This position is well suited for an action-oriented individual with experience in business process analysis, managing multiple priorities, and who has a strong interest in building their risk and compliance knowledge.

This role helps ensure key risks are identified, managed, and appropriately governed while supporting regulatory, audit, and compliance requirements.
What you will be responsible for
As a member of the Operational Risk & Compliance (ORC) team, you will:
Support the identification, assessment, and mitigation of operational and compliance risks across GCF.
Partner with stakeholders across GCF to lead remediation and risk management initiatives that strengthen controls, improve operational effectiveness, support regulatory compliance, and drive continuous improvement.
Coordinate and support internal and regulatory requests, including walkthroughs, and ensure timely, accurate, and consistent responses.
Participate in the assessment, implementation, and adherence to policies, procedures and guidelines prescribed by corporate functions and business partners such as Compliance, Enterprise Risk Management, Corporate Information Security, etc.
Take initiative to lead targeted projects to assess risk and control deficiencies as needed

Education & Preferred Qualifications
Experience in Operational Risk, Controls, Audit, Compliance, or a related risk area, preferably within a financial services environment.
Familiarity with issue management frameworks, audit coordination, and control design principles.
Bachelor’s degree or 2-5 years of equivalent professional experience
Salary Range:
$60,000 - $101,250 AnnualThe range quoted above applies to the role in the primary location specified. If the candidate would ultimately work outside of the primary location above, the applicable range could differ.
