Job Description

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Product Owner Fiscal based in Brazil.

This role sits at the intersection of Brazilian tax regulation, product management, and technology.
You will turn complex and constantly evolving fiscal requirements into clear, scalable product solutions.
Your work will directly influence how industrial businesses manage tax compliance, efficiency, and operational risk.
You will own the fiscal product backlog, define requirements, and guide priorities based on customer impact and regulatory urgency.
The role involves close collaboration with development, support, implementation teams, and customers.
You will operate in a remote-first, flexible environment with significant autonomy and opportunities for career progression.

Accountabilities:

    • Monitor changes in Brazilian tax legislation, electronic fiscal documents, and SPED ancillary obligations, anticipating their impact on the product.
    • Analyze requirements related to IBS, CBS, ICMS, ISS, PIS, COFINS, IPI, IS, NF-e, NFS-e, MDF-e, SPED Fiscal, and other relevant fiscal processes.
    • Translate complex tax legislation and regulatory requirements into clear product requirements and actionable business rules for development teams.
    • Define, maintain, and continuously evolve fiscal functionalities within the ERP, ensuring regulatory compliance and customer value.
    • Own and prioritize the product backlog according to customer impact, regulatory urgency, business strategy, and technical feasibility.
    • Specify product features, business rules, user requirements, and acceptance criteria.
    • Follow development activities to ensure that delivered solutions remain aligned with defined requirements and expected outcomes.
    • Engage with customers, implementation teams, and support teams to identify operational challenges, recurring issues, and opportunities for product improvement.
    • Work closely with technology, support, and implementation teams to coordinate high-quality product releases and ensure successful adoption.
    • Anticipate upcoming regulatory changes and help ensure the product is prepared to meet new fiscal requirements.
    • Contribute to the continuous improvement of product usability, scalability, reliability, and fiscal security.
    • Act as a key connection point between business, tax, technology, and customer needs, helping transform complex requirements into practical solutions.
    • Requirements

      • Completed or ongoing higher education in Accounting, Business Administration, Engineering, Information Systems, Law, or a related field.
      • Relevant professional experience in fiscal/tax functions, with a strong understanding of Brazilian tax legislation.
      • Practical knowledge of Brazilian electronic fiscal documents and SPED ancillary obligations.
      • Strong analytical skills and meticulous attention to detail, particularly when interpreting regulatory requirements.
      • Ability to translate complex fiscal and regulatory concepts into clear, practical requirements and solutions.
      • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical teams.
      • Proactive mindset, ownership mentality, accountability, and strong commitment to delivering measurable results.
      • Genuine interest in fiscal legislation, technology, software development, and solving business problems through digital products.
      • Availability to work 40 hours per week in a fully remote environment with flexible working hours.
      • Previous experience as a Product Owner, Product Analyst, or in a similar product-focused role is desirable.
      • Experience with ERP systems is considered a plus.
      • Familiarity with Agile methodologies such as Scrum or Kanban is an advantage.
