Graduates of recognised foreign degrees must then pass the Certificate in Legal Practice (CLP) exam. Next, complete a 9-month pupillage (chambering) under a qualified pupil master in a Malaysian firm, including the ethics course and legal-aid hours. Finally, you are called to the Malaysian Bar by the High Court and must hold an annual practising certificate issued by the Bar Council. Sabah and Sarawak have their own separate admission processes.
