Job Description
Dentons Caracas is hiring a Compliance & Regulatory Counsel based in Caracas, Venezuela. Lead regulatory and compliance advice for multinational and financial clients.
Responsibilities
- Advise on AML under the Ley Organica contra la Delincuencia Organizada y Financiamiento al Terrorismo
- Build compliance programmes for banks and multinationals
- Advise on sanctions and cross-border regulatory risk
- Train client teams on regulatory obligations
Requirements
- Licenciatura en Derecho from an accredited Venezuelan university.
- Admission as an abogado (registered with a Colegio de Abogados and INPREABOGADO).
- 5+ years in compliance/regulatory
- English; certifications (CAMS) a plus
